Jenny Slate has no bad blood with her ex, Chris Evans. The “Obvious Child” star, who dated the “Captain America” lead for less than a year, recently revealed that she never thought Evans would look her way in the first place.

“To be quite honest, I didn’t think I was his type. Eventually, when it was like, ‘Oh, you have these feelings for me?’, I was looking around like, ‘Is this a prank?’” Slate told Vulture about her reaction when she learned that Evans liked her. “I mean, I understand why I think I’m beautiful, but if you’ve had a certain lifestyle and I’m a very, very different type of person—I don’t want to be an experiment.”

At the time, Slate was separated from her husband, Dean Fleischer-Camp. She added that she was surprised Evans would notice her, considering that the “Avengers” star previously dated Jessica Biel and Minka Kelly.

The pair first met during a chemistry read for their film “Gifted.” Evans approached Slate and told her that she would be one of his closest friends. The conversation made them realized that they shared an immediate connection.

Initially, Slate thought she would have a difficult time connecting with Evans. However, following their first time hanging out, she realized that she could spend 90 hours with the “Snowpiercer” star.

In June 2016, Evans and Slate made their red carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of “The Secret Life of Pets.” The actress told Entertainment Tonight that she has never had a big premiere before, so it was nice to be with Evans, who knew how it usually went. She added that being with Evans was like having her “dream 7th grade boyfriend.”

Unfortunately, their romance was shortlived. In February, Evans and Slate called it quits, but the pair remained good friends. “It was completely amicable and a mutual decision due to conflicting schedules and they remain very close friends,” a source told US Weekly.
