The first lady of France is fed up with pregnancy and wants to give birth as early as possible. It is not really difficult to understand her desperation, considering the fact that she is two weeks overdue already.

In September, the former model admitted that she was fed with her pregnancy and that she couldn't wait to start drinking and smoking again. Well that, was an eight-month-pregnant Bruni's statement. Her plight as of now is only imaginable after an already extra two weeks of the carrying the baby.

'Quite frankly, I can't stand it any more. I spend most of my time either sitting down or lying down. 'I can't drink or smoke any more. I'm in a hurry to get it over with,' Daily Mail quoted the 43-year-old as saying.

Bruni, who already has a 10-year-old son with ex-boyfriend Raphael Enthoven, recently told French TV that her baby - which was due on Oct. 1 - would be protected from any intrusive media interest, according to the report.

Nicolas Sarkozy, 56, already has three children - Pierre, 25, Jean, 23, and 13-year-old Louis - from two previous marriages.
