Caroline Biden, a niece of Vice President Joe Biden, was taken into custody in New York City on Tuesday morning after she allegedly got into an altercation with police officers who were trying to break up a fight between her and her roommate.

Biden, 26, who has not as yet been charged in the incident, “got physical” with cops when they were summoned to her Tribeca apartment on Desbrosses Street around 9:15 a.m., the New York Daily News reported. Police did not initially say what Biden and her roommate were arguing about.

Biden is a daughter of James Biden Sr., who is the vice president’s brother. She is no stranger to police, according to the Daily News. After a “misunderstanding over a train fare,” she was briefly held by Amtrak police in 2009.

Her uncle is a famous supporter of Amtrak and was known as “Amtrak Joe” for using the train to commute from Delaware to Washington, D.C., while a member of the U.S. Senate for 36 years.
