The 2011 French Open women's draw features a number of strong players who are coming into their own at just the right time. Among Caroline Wozniacki, Kim Clijsters are the top two players in the world and Maria Sharapova is perhaps playing the best tennis in the world right now.

Who will take the French Open title?

Sharapova recently won the Rome Masters title over Samantha Stosur. I was really happy with the way last week turned out, said the world number seven Sharapova.

I played great tennis. I had some great matches and wins over good players, especially on clay. So it's definitely a confidence booster. Just hoping to take this form and bring it over to Roland Garros.

On Clijsters, Sharapova said, She's certainly the one to beat here.

The recently injured Clijsters is just coming off injury and will not have played in nearly two months. Clijsters will have the advantage of experience on Rolland Garros over her competitors.

I can say 'Look I played at that arena, at Roland Garros'. That will be nice. Younger generations might not have that, Clijsters recently told Reuters.

Wozniacki is part of that younger generation and this might be the top-ranked Wozniaki's best opportunity to get her first grand slam title.

My main targets this year are the grand slams, she recently said.

The Dane is rightly making that as her primary goal of the season, as it is the major gap on her already stellar young career.
