Carpathian Gold Inc. gained Brazilian approval to resume building a gold mine at its Riacho dos Machados project after environmental concerns idled the venture in October, the Toronto-based company said Monday.
COPAM, a Brazilian environmental authority, told Carpathian on Oct. 18 that it needed more time for a further review of technical documents.
Carpathian now expects the project to begin production in mid-2013.
