Is Carrie Underwood’s husband becoming a country singer? Mike Fisher might be giving his wife a run for her money in the music department. The professional hockey player recently joined country legend Garth Brooks for a duet.

The “American Idol” alum took to Instagram Thursday to share a video of Brooks, 54, singing his song “The River.” In the video, Brooks tells the cameras the song goes out to his “sweetheart” and “girlfriend” Carrie Underwood. As Brooks begins to sing, another voice joins in. The camera pans to include Fisher in the frame.

The 35-year-old Nashville Predators player may have thought he was doing something sweet for his wife of almost six years, but it appears she was jealous of the duet!

She wrote in the caption for the video that as “payback” for her husband getting to sing with Garth Brooks before she does, she’s going to “try to see if Wayne Gretzky wants to play a pick-up hockey game sometime.”

Fortunately it doesn’t look like Underwood, 33, has to worry about Fisher exchanging his skates for cowboy boots. The country crooner continues to be the one with musical talent in the family — and even has a duet of her own coming out soon. “American Idol” judge Keith Urban revealed to Entertainment Tonight this week that Underwood is featured on a song from his upcoming album, “Ripcord.”

“I wrote this song with this guy called Busbee,” Urban explained to ET. “The song is called ‘[The] Fighter.’ I would say it’s a call-and-response song between a guy and a girl, and Carrie’s on that song with me.”

“Ripcord” is to be released May 6.
