There hasn't been a two-sport star in years, but Chad Ochocinco is going to try to change that.

The NFL wide receiver is taking up soccer, or football, while the NFL is in a labor dispute.

Ochocinco has loved both sports and is going to give MLS a shot when he tries out for Sporting Kansas City, formerly named the Kansas City Wizards.

The flamboyant athlete has been playing both sports since he was a kid, and with the lockout dragging, the Cincinnati Bengals' star is taking advantage of the time off.

We're always searching for players who can help our team and bringing in new talent, Sporting Kansas City manager Peter Vermes said, according to ESPN.com. We know that Chad is an exceptional athlete and that he loves the sport of soccer, and he did play a lot when he was younger. We're excited to see how his skills will translate once he arrives next week and begins training with our team.

Due to the NFL lockout, I'm excited to be able to follow my childhood dream of playing for a Major League Soccer team, Ochocinco said.

If he makes the team, we can take a wild guess what number he will wear.
