The first half of the UEFA Champions League is over with Manchester United and Barcelona tied at 1-1.

Manchester United, surprise to everyone, started off offensively, making several dangerous situations by Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez. Messi-Iniesta-Xavi line was pressed and blocked effectively by the Red Devils.

But United’s dominance was over less than 10 minutes into the game, when Barcelona started to pick up their short pass game. Soon, Barcelona had significantly more procession of the ball and United was busy trying to block.

The first goal of the final match came in the 27th minute when Pedro scored a goal in the penalty box, assisted by Xavi. United defense failed to follow Pedro and the goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar could not respond.

However, United did not give up easily. Wayne Rooney, 7 minutes after conceiving the first goal, scored a goal for United, assisted by Ryan Giggs.

The half-time was with 1-1 tie. Lionel Messi was still silence on England ground.
