Dubbed the 'new Didier Drogba', Anderlecht gem Romelu Lukaku has been the subject of a transfer for many clubs across Europe, especially Chelsea.

However, the prodigy revealed that he is more focused on his exams than upcoming exams than a potential move to the English giants.

The 18-year-old used his Facebook and Twitter accounts to state that links to different clubs are exaggerated.

He said, I read a lot in the paper about me these days. Some journalists try to sell information they don't always know about. Please know that my current and only focus is passing my exams. After that I'll have some holiday and will start the pre-season with RSCA (Anderlecht).''

In fact, his agent, Christophe Henrotay, revealed that negotiations between Chelsea and Anderlecht hadn't even materialized as yet before going on to admit that Lukaku would attend Anderlecht's pre-season training on June 24.

There has not yet been a meeting between Chelsea and Anderlecht, nothing can be concluded. Anderlecht want a lot of money for Lukaku, he costs more than two million you know - it will take more time. With the current state of things, Romelu will resume training on June 24 with Anderlecht, he said in Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg.

That is not to say a deal won't take place. Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck said that he expected a deal to be concluded before the end of the transfer window.

Sure he will leave, and his departure is crucial to our transfers. I do not know if it will be Chelsea, there are many big clubs interested and we are negotiating. One thing is certain, he will not spend another year with Anderlecht, he told the Gazet van Antwerpen.
