Chicago Fire
Here’s what fans can expect from “Chicago Fire” Season 5. NBC

The “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” crossover romance will be in full gear on Tuesday.

The romance between “Fire’s” Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and “P.D.’s” Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) had already been introduced in a past episode, but their relationship will move forward in a big way in the next episode of “Fire.”

In a clip obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Brett is shown waiting outside Dawson’s door. She starts teasing him, but he doesn’t get it right at first. It looks like things will get steamy, though.

The romance between the characters was teased before Season 5 started. Executive producer Matt Olmstead said they found it interesting how different the characters are and how their differences would influence their romance.

“She’s looking for a real man, he qualifies,” Olmstead said. “He’s looking for a real soul, a real heart, and she qualifies.”

How long the relationship will last, fans would just have to stick around to see. Fans should also watch out for Charlotte Sullivan's guest appearance on the winter finale episode.

“Towards the end of the winter finale, there’s a woman (Sullivan) who is in distress, who Severide (Taylor Kinney) is going to make a decision to help out,” executive producer Derek Haas told TVLine.

Meanwhile, here’s what will happen on the show on Tuesday. The episode, titled “That Day,” will see Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) deal with the repercussions of accidentally hitting a pedestrian while responding to a call, according to the synopsis on The Futon Critic. Severide and Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) will continue to investigate an arson case. Casey will also try to prepare Christopher Hermann (David Eigenberg) for a promotion.
