On Wednesday’s episode of NBC’s “Chicago PD,” Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) took down a very wealthy killer. The millionaire murdered a famous crime videographer after he managed to shoot a video that would incriminate one of Chicago’s wealthiest families. With the case out of the way, next week, the focus moves from Voight to Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati).

In the upcoming episode, Burgess encourages her sister Nicole (Jules Willcox) to let her hair down and spend a night out with friends, according to the official synopsis. However, things get worse for her sister who never makes it home in the morning. Naturally, she is worried about Nicole and the guilt begins to eat at her. The only clue she has to find Nicole is a voicemail that says, “help me.”

Burgess has no option but to tell the intelligence unit that her sister is missing. Soon, they band together to locate Nicole. Finally, they find her but she has been brutally attacked by someone. She is found clinging to her life at a station. The promo shows the poor girl looking scared, defeated and bloody. Her whole pant is soaked in blood.

The case becomes high priority because an attack on an officer’s family member is an attack on all the families working in the police department.

As the investigation proceeds, it becomes clear in “Chicago PD” Season 4, episode 19 that this was a planned attack and Nicole was the intended target. This wasn’t some random back alley occurrence.

Given that Nicole will be rushed to a hospital to be treated of her wounds after the assault, a “Chicago Med” doctor will make a guest appearance in this episode. Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) will be treating Burgess’ sister’s injuries.

“Chicago PD” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
