Burgess' sister meets Ruzek with an icy attitude in “Chicago P.D.” Season 4, episode 18. Matt Dinerstein/NBC

The intelligence unit in NBC’s “Chicago P.D.” solved a complicated kidnapping case this week. One of the victims refused to cooperate with the detectives in District 21. Meanwhile, Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and her live-in boyfriend Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) faced problems after his ex-girlfriend popped by.

What will happen next week on “Chicago P.D.”?

The focus movies from Lindsay and Halstead to Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) in Season 4, episode 18. According to the official synopsis of “Little Bit Of Light,” Chicago’s famous crime videographer, Bobby Trent (Michael B. Woods), is murdered over a single piece of mysterious footage. The video is about a wealthy family and it seemingly exposes all their wrongdoings. The footage is obviously important since he was killed for it.

As Voight and his team conduct their investigation into Bobby’s murder, they also investigate one of Chicago’s wealthiest families and soon uncover a lineage of old money and secrets.

The promo shows the team going against the patriarch of the wealthy family -- a ruthless billionaire with secrets. He is Bobby’s killer, but he uses his numerous contacts, power and influence to prevent the police from arresting him. This, of course, makes Voight very angry. “No matter how much money you have,” Voight tells him, “I land every killer in the same place.”

Meanwhile, trouble brews between Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) when her sister Nicole (Jules Willcox) visits her at the police station and greets Kim’s former fiancé with an icy attitude.

Will Burgess and Ruzek get back together? Only time will tell.

“Chicago P.D.” Season 4, episode 18 premieres on Wednesday, March 29 at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
