BEIJING - China's steel exports will drop sharply this year but the sector will continue to expand, with 30-50 million tonnes of new steelmaking capacity, Zhang Xiaogang, general manager of Anshan Iron & Steel Group, said on Thursday.

The sector is facing gloomy prospects this year, Zhang said.
