China's new high-speed train Harmony has debuted. The luxurious train is capable of reaching 300km-an-hour. The $34 billion train can cut the travel time between Shanghai and Beijing in half.

The train has had its own share of criticism as some believe the train won't yield the returns it needs in order to make a profit.

The luxurious train features fully-reclining seats, and at $270 for a business class seat, the train won't be affordable for everyone. The train is primarily geared to the business-class.

It is scheduled to begin its journeys later this week.
