The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has released its first military FPS (First Person Shooter) game, Glorious Mission, aimed to train soldiers.

The game is co-developed by PLA’s Nanjing command, alongside Wuxi Giant Interactive Group. Glorious Mission is nearly similar to the Call of Duty and has the US as the enemy.

The game has taken 32 months to develop and has been called as “a breakthrough in military games and a pioneering work of the cyber-game industry.

The game is based on real-life military actions with realistic looking uniforms, weapons and kit. Players will battle alone or in teams to complete the missions.

In-game weapons include Type 89 machine guns, 96A tank, Type 92 pistol and other military vehicles, the China Daily reported.
