Ciara is now a mother after giving birth to a boy on Monday morning. According to reports, the 28-year-old singer delivered the baby in Los Angeles, and this is her first child. She is engaged to Future, a rapper, and they plan to marry in the fall.

While the singer has not yet revealed her son’s name, her baby shower cake in March had icing that said “Baby Wilburn.”

In January, Ciara confirmed on "The View" that she was pregnant with her first child after her fashion choices sparked months speculation among her fans. The R&B singer shared many photos on her Instagram page, primarily showing herself in baggy clothes that hid her stomach, prompting fans to question whether she was hiding a baby bump.

Ciara showed her baby bump on national television, when she appeared to be about three or four months along. After "The View," Ciara stopped by Huffington Post Live and answered questions about her pregnancy, including the baby's gender.

“It really is a blessing," she said when asked about her pregnancy. "It’s the most exciting time in my life. I’m really excited, like a little kid. You know when the kids are getting ready for Christmas and you can’t wait to see what’s under the tree?”

She also hinted that she was expecting a boy.

“I did have a preference before I found out what it was," she said. "I had a preference at first and it was different than what I thought, but my fiancé got what he wanted.”

In March, her husband-to-be confirmed that hint during an interview, when he referred to their baby as “him.” At Ciara's baby shower last month, the location was adorned with blue and white decorations.
