Cable giant Comcast Corp won antitrust approval to buy a majority stake in NBC Universal on several conditions, including that it give up management rights of the online television web site Hulu, the Justice Department said on Tuesday.

The department also said that Comcast must continue to offer content to Hulu. The Federal Communications Commission also approved the deal on Tuesday.

Comcast announced on December 3, 2009, that it planned to buy a 51 percent stake in NBC Universal from General Electric. The $30 billion deal includes broadcast, cable networks, movie studios and theme parks.
