"The Artist" is going to another award show. This time it's the second annual Comedy Awards, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City Apr. 28. The Weinstein Company

That's right, The Artist has one more award show to conquer: the 2012 Comedy Awards.

The Comedy Awards announced the nominations for its second annual celebration on Tuesday, with Bridesmaids Modern Family and 30 Rock leading the way.

Bridesmaids is up for five prizes, including best comedy director Paul Feig and best comedy screenplay. Co-stars Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are up for the same best actress prize for their roles in the film.

The Artist and Bridesmaids will compete in the best comedy film category, along with Crazy, Stupid, Love, Horrible Bosses and Midnight in Paris. Jean Dujardin, who won the Best Actor Oscar in February, is nominated category again at the Comedy Awards, along with Jason Bateman, Steve Carrell, Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson.

On the TV side, Modern Family and 30 Rock are both up for best comedy series, best actor (Ty Burrell vs. Alec Baldwin), best actress (Sofia Vergara vs. Tina Fey), best director and best writing.

Zooey Deschanel, TV's much-adored New Girl, is nominated for the breakout performer of the year prize, along with Josh Gad (Book of Mormon), Donald Glover (Community), Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids) and Jason Sudeikis (SNL).

The second annual Comedy Awards will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on Apr. 28 and will air on Comedy Central on May 6.
