Computacenter Plc, the country's biggest seller of computer hardware to businesses, posted a 77 percent rise in first half profit on Tuesday and said its full year outlook remained in line with expectations.

Computacenter said profit before tax was 14.5 million pounds in the six months ended June 30, as it focussed on selling more profitable products.

Revenues, however, dipped to 1.11 billion pounds from 1.15 billion in the same period last year.

Looking ahead, we anticipate that the improvements we are seeing in the group's market positioning and performance will continue as the year progresses, Chairman Ron Sandler said in a statement.

The outlook for the full year remains in line with expectations.
