South American giants Brazil got their Copa America campaign on track after sealing an entertaining 4-2 victory over Ecuador to progress to the quarterfinals as group winners.

The Selecao, group winners on goal difference, had impressive performances from Alexandre Pato and Neymar, who both scored twice. Felipe Caceido bagged a brace for Ecuador, but it failed to lift them from the bottom of group B.

Pato headed in Andre Santos' cross on 28 minutes to open the scoring. But the teams went into half time on level terms after Caceido finished a quick counter-attack to beat goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Three minutes into the second half, Pato turned provider for Neymar and the Santos star restored Brazil's lead. Ecuador were relentless though, and Caceido equalised for a second time within minutes.

However, Brazil dominated possession and made most of it as Pato netted his second after the hour mark, before Neymar got his brace 10 minutes later.
