“Criminal Minds” finally said goodbye to Behavioral Analysis Unit’s (BAU) Chief Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner. The CBS show wrote off Thomas Gibson’s character by having him resign the bureau after Mr. Scratch/Peter Lewis started stalking his son.

What will happen next week on “Criminal Minds”?

The focus will shift from Hotch to Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler) in Season 12, episode 7. According to the synopsis of “Mirror Image,” Dr. Lewis will meet a man who claims to be her brother Gabriel Lewis (Terrence Terrell). The BAU will open an investigation into this man and find out the reason behind his pretense.

Surprisingly, this man pretending to be Tara’s brother knows everything about her and her family. Even more shocking is the fact that the minute this man arrives in her life, she cannot get hold of her real brother.

The promo of the upcoming “Criminal Minds” episode confirms that this mysterious man has kidnapped her brother. Tara even gets her father in the interrogation room with him and he tells him, “You want us to be a family again. Isn’t that right dad?”

The crime series will delve into Dr. Lewis’ past. We will see a young Tara and her brother during their childhood years.

Episode 7 will see the return of Mr. Scratch (Bodhi Elfman). The chilling trailer ends with the mind-controlling serial killer laughing creepily.

This will be the first case in which Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) steps into the role of Unit Chief.

Joe Mantegna, who plays BAU member David Rossi, has directed this episode.

Unfortunately, “Criminal Minds” won’t air an episode next week. The upcoming episode of the CBS series premieres next to next week – on Wednesday, Nov. 30 – at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
