Crown Princess Mary of Denmark arrived in Brazil for the Rio Olympics 2016 along with her husband Prince Frederik over the weekend. On Tuesday, the Dutch princess looked elegant as she opened the Danish Pavilion, which was unveiled in March.

Princess Mary wore a sleeveless white shirt, a knee-length blue skirt and a pair of red and white striped wedges, Daily Mail reported. Prince Frederik's brother, Prince Joachim, and his wife, Princess Marie are also in Rio for the games. The 44-year-old looked happy as she was pictured alongside Princess Marie. The Australian-born royal was also pictured cuddling her nephew and godson, Prince Henrik, 7.

According to reports, Princess Mary was warned not to attend the Rio Olympics 2016 over Zika fears but she will continue her royal duties in Brazil until Aug. 6. However, Princess Mary's four children were not present with the family.

In 2012, Princess Mary and Prince Frederik had attended the London Olympics along with their two eldest children, Princess Isabella and Prince Christian.

Princess Mary is scheduled to attend an event at the Institute of Child Development Wednesday, and on Thursday evening she will make an appearance at the IOC President's dinner.
