CD Projekt Red’s Marcin Momot confirmed that the private E3 2019 demo of “Cyberpunk 2077” will become playable to the public on Gamescom 2019. The demo is said to show two different builds for the main character. The company has adopted this launch style since the game’s first couple of reveals.

According to known industry insider shinobi602’s Twitter, CD Projekt Red global community lead Marcin Momot clarified the details of the next “Cyberpunk 2077” demo public appearance. Momot confirmed their demo will be made public at the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo West (PAX West) which will be held from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.

According to the source, the developers said that the demo will not be made public until after Gamescom 2019 on Aug. 20 to 24. Before Momot spoke up, fans didn’t know when they would be able to catch the demo.

The demo shown during E3 2019 consisted of a hands-off experience, according to IGN. The gameplay featured both of the playable genders of the main character, V. The male V sported a non-confrontational hacker playstyle, while the female V was geared with combat skills.

While V was finishing their mission, Keanu Reeves’ character was seen guiding the player like a digital hologram ghost. The whole demo last up to 50 minutes.

Following previous “Cyberpunk 2077” unveilings, CD Projekt Red has become fond of revealing their trailers to closed-door panels first before allowing the public to view the lengthy gameplay video. Previously, a 45-minute “Cyberpunk 2077” gameplay video was shown during E3 2018 and had only been released to the public around August 2018.

For now, we can only wait for PAX West 2019 to see what the fans saw during E3 2019's “Cyberpunk 2077” show. The game is scheduled for release in April 2020.
