Olympian Lolo Jones was the first celebrity to be voted off Season 19 of “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night. The 32-year-old American track and field athlete was eliminated after she among the bottom two based on her performance Monday night.

Jones and her partner, Keo Motsepe, received 22 out of 40 points following their Cha Cha performance. She told the judges Monday night that "this is not where I want to be at" and admitted that her performance was "awful.” Fashion designer Betsey Johnson, who had a clumsy situation with her prop, was also among the bottom two with a score of 20.

"I wouldn't have had it any other way," Jones reportedly said, after learning of her fate. "I know Betsey had a malfunction with the boa thing, and that was a disadvantage for her, and that was steps on my part. ... she deserves to stay."

During Johnson's performance, her boa feather prop got tangled and caused some confusion and her partner Toni Dovolani asked her to stop before she went ahead to end the dance with a split.

Jones wrote on her Facebook page thanking her fans for their votes and support. She also shared her experience on the show.

“My brief time on #DWTS was a lasting lesson. I really wanted to stay on the show and have the layers of hurt wash away by showing the public how hard I work. I wanted to come away a victor for once. I wanted to do so good performing in public that the haters would stop teasing me,” she wrote in the post.

“My time was brief but the lesson is lasting. Thank you everyone who wrote me kind messages. You were helping me not fall into darkness.”

Professional race car driver Michael Waltrip and his partner Emma Slater received a score of 25, while actress Lea Thompson and her partner Artem Chigvintsev received a score of 32 for their performance.

Johnson will return to the show next week with the remaining 11 contestants including “Catch 21” host Alfonso Ribeiro, actor Antonio Sabato Jr., Internet celebrity Bethany Mota, actress Janel Parrish, “Mean Girls” star Jonathan Bennett, actor Randy Couture, “Duck Dynasty “ star Sadie Robertson, talk show host Tavis Smiley and comedian Tommy Chong.
