Talk about a twist! During the exciting Season 21 finale of “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday fans were shocked when an unexpected guest made a surprise visit to the ballroom floor via webcam.

“I’ve been watching the show from the U.K. and I must say, everyone has been doing a fantastic job,” Len Goodman, who has been a judge on the series since the show first premiered in 2005, said in a holiday message. “Now you finalists, I want you to give it your all in these last dances. As for the pros I have a mention for you as well. Listen up … Len is coming back next season. And I don’t want any of your old nonsense.” The professional ballroom dancer then went on to specifically call out "DWTS" pro Val Chmerkovskiy for goofing off. “Now, may the best couple win, and happy holidays!"

Len will be reprising his role behind the judges table during the spring season of “DWTS,” joining Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli once again in Season 22 of the series.

Before Season 21 of the ABC dancing competition kicked off in September, the show’s executive producer Rob Wade cleared up rumors regarding whether Len would act as a judge during the 2015 winter installment.

“Len will not be returning as a judge this season on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ due to his schedule as a judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in the U.K. and the birth of his new grandson,” the EP said in a statement to People magazine, adding that Len might be involved in the season “at some capacity.” “But we’ll have to wait and see," he said.

The executive producer went on to say that he was hopeful the grumpy judge would make his way back to the “DWTS” ballroom to give future contestants of the show a “10 from Len” -- which we all know is the most prestigious compliment one could receive on the series!

Overall, we give this news a perfect score. Welcome back, Len!

“Dancing With the Stars” will return with Season 22 in spring 2016.
