Dancing With the Stars” fans are still reeling following Simone Biles’ elimination from Season 24. She and partner Sasha Farber were sent packing in Week 9 after receiving two perfect scores, leaving only three teams in the competition.

Their elimination shocked judges, viewers and their co-stars, but it seems the Olympic gymnast has come to terms with it. In an interview with Us Weekly, Sasha expressed his desire to help Simone add a Mirrorball trophy to her collection of accolades. While that won’t be happening for the 20-year-old, she told the publication she walked away with way more than a trophy.

“I just wanted to learn more about myself through this competition,” Simone told Us. “If I won, it’s cool. But if I didn’t, there’s still so much I can take away.”

Among the many things Simone took from her time in the “DWTS” ballroom was the freedom to express herself. After harsh critiques in Week 8, she and Sasha returned to the semifinals and dazzled with two performances that showed judges who they really are. Simone told Us participating in Season 24 of “DWTS” was “a little more freeing” than training for the Olympics.

After being cut from the competition, Simone’s focusing on herself. She has no big plans to get back in the gym for intense training in the near future. In fact, she told Us she plans to “just relax” for a change.

“I’m going to take some time off and just relax. I’m going on two vacations, so I’m excited,” Simone shared.

While she takes a well-earned break and Sasha focuses on planning he and fiancée Emma Slater’s wedding, the remaining three “DWTS” Season 24 teams are gearing up for the finals. Monday will be the final week of competition and only one team can emerge victorious.

At this point, it’s anyone’s guess which of the three teams will win. Oddsmakers has Val Chmerkovskiy and Normani Kordei projected to win the “DWTS” Mirrorball trophy. Simone and Sasha were expected to take second place, which clearly won’t be the case now.

The other two teams — Lindsay Arnold and David Ross and Rashad Jennings and Emma — will have to fight if they plan to take the No. 1 spot on Season 24 of “DWTS.” Lindsay and David have been the underdogs throughout the competition, but continue to defy the odds and climb the ranks.

In addition to honing his skills, David will have to put his nerves to the side. After making it through to the final round in Week 9, the former Chicago Cubs player couldn’t help but share his feelings on social media. He kept it short on sweet, sharing his surprise with “DWTS” fans.

He and Lindsay aren’t to be counted out, however. In addition to being a favorite with fans, the pair have seen major improvement on Season 24 of “DWTS.” In Week 9, they received their best scores yet. They’ve also gotten major praise from judges, especially Julianne Hough who told them they “deserve to be here.”

Who will the three “DWTS” Season 24 finalists fare in the finale? Tune in Monday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC to find out.
