David Beckham Falls On Soccer Field: Chinese Global Ambassador Slips Playing Soccer In Dress Shoes [VIDEO]

David Beckham laughed off a fall while on a soccer field in China’s Hubei province on Saturday.

The Chinese Super League Global Ambassador is in China on a five-day tour. He was named global ambassador earlier this year.

"I’m excited by the prospect of promoting the world’s greatest game to Chinese sports fans as I’ve seen firsthand the growing interest in football there,” said Beckham, in a statement.

“This is a wonderful sport that inspires people across the world and brings families together, so I’m relishing the opportunity of introducing more fans to the game."

He's traveling around China to help promote the nation’s local league and the sport in general.

Beckham, who was wearing dark grey pants and black dress shoes, lost his balance while demonstrating his trademark free kick to members of the Wuhan Zall club.

The crowd laughed off his tumble, as did Beckham.
