David Beckham's son, Brooklyn Beckham, married billionaire heiress and actress Nicola Peltz in Palm Beach, Florida, over the weekend. The former soccer player gave a heartfelt speech during the event, according to People.

The 46-year-old sports superstar "spoke about Brooklyn being born, their family life and how great of a mom Victoria is," a source told the outlet.

An insider also said David's speech lasted around five minutes, and he "shed a tear at one point," 7News reported.

"He was talking about when Brooklyn was born and how he wanted to protect him. He said he was sleeping on the hospital floor, holding the door shut because he didn't want to let anyone get in," the source reportedly said, adding that the former football player had to "take a breather to regain his composure but it was a very sweet speech."

Nicole, 27, took to Instagram Sunday to share a series of photos taken during her wedding to Brooklyn, 23.

The actress shared a picture featuring herself and her father, billionaire businessman Nicola Peltz. "Thank you for the most beautiful weekend of my life," she captioned the photo. "You're the wind beneath my wings."

She then shared a solo photo of herself wearing her wedding dress and wrote, "My dream dress," before thanking fashion designer Leslie Fremar.

She also posted a black-and-white photo of herself and Brooklyn, noting, "Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham."

David, on the other hand, took to Instagram Sunday to share a photo featuring him and his three sons — Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz — at the event. "My beautiful boys & a very proud dad.. Congratulations Bust on a lifetime of happiness, we will always be by your side," he captioned his post.

Brooklyn and Nicole started dating in October 2019, but they made their relationship public only in January 2020. They got engaged in July 2020.

The actor and model broke the news on his Instagram two weeks later by posting a cute photo of himself and Nicole.

In the caption, he wrote, "Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx. I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤ ️ I love you baby xx."
