She helped keep her friend out of prison for kidnapping, but still intended to take the daughter that is biologically Nicole’s out of Salem for good. However, Chloe will instead shock not only Nicole, but Brady as well, when she shows up at the Kiriakis Mansion before leaving town on the Wednesday, June 21 episode of “Days of Our Lives.”

Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) had secretly served as a surrogate for Nicole (Arianne Zucker) by carrying the baby she had created with the late Daniel, and when the truth came out about who the baby actually belonged to, the women became engaged in a custody battle on the NBC soap. Because of her association with Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) at the time, Nicole lost custody of her daughter. She then kidnapped the infant and took her abroad, but after returning to Salem when Brady (Eric Martsolf) was dying, she was taken into custody and Holly was returned to Chloe.

Nicole was set to face serious jailtime for what she did, but Chloe came to her defense at her hearing, which led to Nicole only receiving probation and community service. However, Chloe was still left with custody of Holly. When Nicole ran into them at the park, the other woman had informed her that she was going to leave Salem for good and take Holly with her, news which devastated Nicole since she had sworn she would never try to be a problem again.

Now however, Chloe has arrived at the mansion with news that will stun Nicole and Brady. Despite what she said earlier, she is now planning on just leaving town. Holly will not go with her, and will instead be returned to Nicole so the mother and daughter can live a happy life together, as Daniel would have wanted it.

Nicole will be floored that Chloe is allowing her to have custody of Holly, and the news will also elate her as well, because she has feared that Holly would never remember her as she got older, nor would she care to get to know her after being raised by another woman. The move is one which will make Nicole eternally grateful to Chloe, and Chloe will believe it’s the right decision to make in the end, even though she also felt a strong bond and connection with the baby.

Of course, while Nicole and Brady may both be grateful to Chloe for the move, they may also owe thanks to everyone else in their world who tried to convince Chloe to do the right thing. Marlena (Deirdre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) told her to do what was right about the charges against Nicole after the miracle she performed which brought Brady back to life, and that led to her interrupting the hearing and making the statement that kept Nicole out of prison. Now, Chloe's ow’ mother, Nancy (Patrica Darbo), may be the one to thank for her change of heart, as she encouraged her daughter not to break the bond that Holly and Nicole shared.

However, while Chloe’s gesture is a beautiful one, and Nicole and Brady will be the happiest they've been since being on the run in Canada, the good feelings will unfortunately be short-lived, because another blow is going to come down on them quickly.
