The double wedding descended into chaos when Ben unexpectedly crashed the event. Now, with things seeming to die down again following his interruption, one of the couples who planned to say "I do," will in fact do so on the Wednesday, Oct. 4 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) interrupted Abigail (Marci Miller) and Chad's (Billy Flynn), as well as Sonny (Freddie Smith) and Paul's (Christopher Sean) vows to one another on the NBC soap to make a big announcement. After escaping from Bayview, Ben crashed to drop a bombshell, where he claimed that Will (Chandler Massey), Sonny's first husband whom he killed during his reign as the Red Necktie Strangler, was actually alive.

After Ben was carted away to the police station, Sonny followed to hear more of what he had to say in regards to Will, finding it hard to believe that his husband was alive after they had all seen his dead body, with the red necktie around his neck. His attempt to get answers from Ben seemed to fail however, as he left more confused than ever before. One thing he is unsure about now though, is whether or not he should, or even could, marry Paul. Until he can say for certain that his first husband is truly dead, as he believed, he will tell Paul their wedding is off.

The news will devastate Paul and break his heart a little bit, but he will understand Sonny's hesitance, and his need to uncover the truth. In an act showing his true devotion to the man he loves, Paul will then help him come up with a way to try and get to the truth—either by getting Ben to admit what he claims to know that will prove he's telling the truth, or by finding Will himself. No matter what will happen and how it could potentially affect their relationship, Paul will make sure Sonny knows he has his back.

Now that they have decided what they will do, they will head back to the church, where Chad and Abigail temporarily halted their own nuptials and have been waiting for word from them about what they want to do. The other couple will be stunned when the grooms admit they are calling off their own nuptials, but it won't mean that they will also have to halt their plans for wedded bliss.

Because Chad and Abigail's own journey to matrimony has been difficult—Abigail went crazy at their first wedding because of the trauma from Ben's previous attacks on her, and later disappeared after faking her own death—and their other attempt since she returned to town to renew their vows ended because of his residual feelings for Gabi (Camila Banus), the time has come for them to be properly wed. They will receive their friends' blessing to continue with their ceremony, and finally, after a long journey with so many unpredictable endings and outcomes, Chad and Abigail will finally become husband and wife again—and will begin their journey to happily ever after.
