Days of Our Lives
Abigail (Kate Mansi) will have to convince Chad (Billy Flynn) he's the father of her son on “Days of Our Lives” this week. NBC

“Days of Our Lives” is beginning 2016 with a bang. The NBC daytime soap opera ended 2015 on a dramatic note when it left the lives of multiple characters hanging in the balance. Although the show was on a holiday New Year’s Day, things will pick right back up Monday.

For those who missed the episode Thursday, almost everybody was having a fantastic New Year’s Eve at the Basic Black party. However, Eric’s (Greg Vaughn) decision to drive drunk put numerous lives in danger, including those of Brady (Eric Martsolf), Daniel (Shawn Christian) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). On top of that, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) finally decided to confront Kate (Lauren Koslow) about her less-than-desirable behavior.

Elsewhere, Abigail (Kate Mansi) busted in to find Chad (Billy Flynn) with Belle (Martha Madison). But that wasn’t even the biggest shocker of the evening. Abigail finally came clean to Chad, revealing that he’s the father of her son.

So, where will things pick up this week? We’re breaking down the spoilers from Monday, Jan. 4, to Friday, Jan. 8:

Monday, Jan. 4 Episode

Jennifer was the only one shown driving off the road, but she definitely won’t be the only one rushed to the Salem hospital. A “horrific car accident” will also send Eric, Brady and Daniel to the emergency room. Around the same time, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) will be faced with “an impossible decision,” while Roman (Josh Taylor) will have a “terrible realization about Eric.” And things won’t be looking better for Abigail. Despite telling Chad about Thomas, the episode description teases that she’ll have to convince him he’s the father.

Tuesday, Jan. 5 Episode

Things will continue to go downhill at the hospital as John (Drake Hogestyn) “offers to make a huge sacrifice for Brady.” But the biggest shocker involves Nicole, who will “lash out” at Jennifer. Could Jennifer, not Eric, be the one responsible for hospitalizing Daniel? Meanwhile, Chad will get confirmation he’s the father of Abigail’s son.

Wednesday, Jan. 6 Episode

The hospitalizations of Brady and Eric won’t be drawn out much longer, but Nicole will be forced to say a “final good-bye” to Daniel. The drama will continue outside the hospital as Hope (Kristian Alfonso) goes a little too deep to get a confession from Stefano (Joseph Mascolo). Rafe (Galen Gering) will grow concerned about his partner.

Thursday, Jan. 7 Episode

Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) will comfort Belle after she reveals a secret to him. And Belle’s not the only one coming clean. The episode description teases that Ava will leave “evidence of a secret for Steve to find.”

Friday, Jan. 8 Episode

Rafe was right to worry about Hope. His partner will have an “epic confrontation” with Stefano. Meanwhile, the hospital storyline will continue to play out as Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Roman worry about their son’s future. Brady will also learn about “everything that’s transpired.”
