Days of Our Lives
Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) was horrified to find a car coming at her during Thursday's episode of "Days of Our Lives." NBC

“Days of Our Lives” celebrated New Year’s Eve Thursday night, and all of Salem was out to celebrate. There was plenty of lip locking before the clock struck midnight – but the most dramatic moment started after the town welcomed 2016.

Theresa (Jen Lilley) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) are enjoying a romantic evening, along with Daniel (Shawn Christian) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker). However, Kate (Lauren Koslow) cannot spare to smile at the re-launch of Basic Black. She misses Eduardo (A Martinez) and wants to text him, but can’t go through with it. Instead, she channels her bossy behavior to control Theresa and Nicole.

Theresa and Nicole bid adieu to their significant others in order to finish some work with Kate. Brady and Daniel leave together, but shortly after turn around because of a gift that Brady left at the bar. While the two sit in the car together, they discuss how proud they are of the women in their lives and how great the new year is going to be.

But what nobody knows is that Eric (Greg Vaughn) got in his car despite Nicole’s plea for him to get a cab home. Drunk from celebrating all night, Eric can barely keep his eyes open. It appears as if Brady and Daniel’s car will conclude with Eric’s – but that’s not the case. “Days of Our Lives” fans are shocked to see Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) in another car. She’s horrified and swerves as another set of lights blind her.

Elsewhere, Chad (Billy Flynn) and Belle (Martha Madison) sneak away for a New Year’s Eve hookup. Chad knows it was wrong, asking Belle if she’s okay with it before entering his room. However, Belle knows exactly what she was doing. Things start getting hot and heavy, but before the two can go any further, Abigail (Kate Mansi) knocks on the door and tells Chard it’s an emergency.

Chad greets her at the door but fails at preventing her from coming in. Needless to say that she’s shocked to find Belle getting dressed inside.

“You’re married,” Abigail says to Belle, who quickly runs out of the room.

Chad doesn’t appreciate Abigail’s actions, but she doesn’t care. She drops a bombshell on him, telling Chad that her son – no, “our son” – is sick.

“Yeah, that’s right,” she says. “You’re the father. Not ben. It’s you.”

It’s not clear who will die in the New Year’s Eve car crash on “Days of Our Lives.” While the situation looks grim for Jennifer, viewers can’t forget that Daniel and Brady are also on the road. As for Chad and Abigail? Fans will have to wait until Monday, Jan. 4 to see his reaction.
