Days of Our Lives
Will (Chandler Massey) vows to help Paul (Christopher Sean) get to the bottom of what's going on with John (Drake Hogestyn, not pictured) on the Jan. 31, 2018 episode of "Days of Our Lives." NBC

He's been looking for ways to get closer to the man he's interested in, and Will may find his way to get in better with Paul by offering to help him out with his current investigation on the Wednesday, Jan. 31 episode of "Days of Our Lives."

Will (Chandler Massey) has already made moves on the NBC soap to move on with his life by moving into the same apartment building as Paul (Christopher Sean) and serving Sonny (Freddie Smith) divorce papers. Now, after Paul helped him finish moving into his new place, Will noticed the other man was visibly shaken. Paul admitted he believes his father, John (Drake Hogestyn) is drugging Steve (Stephen Nichols), and he needs proof so he can figure out why.

The situation is one that will be perfect for Will, because offering to figure out what is happening with John will afford him more opportunities to be with Paul. In addition, if Paul expresses hesitation about them working together at all, Will has an excuse for why he should be involved. John is married to his grandmother, Marlena (Deirdre Hall), one of the few people he actually has genuine feelings for in Salem since his return. If he expresses concern that John could also be attempting to do something to her as well, it will be hard for Paul to argue.

Paul is very concerned by his father's behavior, after overhearing him discuss poisoning his best friend over the phone. Since he saw him at the park, John has been provided with more of the poison that is being put into Steve's drinks, causing his blurred vision, and he's also been reminded that he has to complete his mission.

It's unclear just why John is doing this, or who has put him up to it for now, but Paul and Will are sure to be determined when it comes to finding answers and solving the case. While for Paul, solving the case will help him save his father, for Will, it could be the start to the new beginning he seeks.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
