Universal’s film adaptation for the hit Broadway musical “Dear Evan Hansen” is shaping up with a major star-studded cast.

Deadline reports that Amy Adams, best known for her Oscar-nominated roles in “The Fighter,” “American Hustle,” “Vice” and more, has signed on to the cast and will be portraying the role of Cynthia Murphy.

The musical, which won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 2017, follows the story of the title character, a high school student who suffers from social anxiety and gets caught up in a lie when one of his letters is mistaken as the suicide note of a classmate who took his own life. Adams’ character is the mother of that classmate.

While Adams is a huge name for the film cast, she isn’t the only big player who will be seen when the film hits the big screen. Check out the rest of the confirmed star-studded cast below.
