Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West got a technical foul on Tuesday night for giving Gordon Hayward a wet willie in the second quarter.

After fouling the Utah Jazz's Hayward away from the ball, West then put his index finger in Hayward's ear to the chagrin of the Jazz audience. Fans chanted Throw him out after the wet willie, but West remained in the game after the technical foul.

I went over the line, West said after the triple-overtime loss. I saw some lint in his hair, and I wanted to get it out for him. Seriously, we were like two warriors out there. But I forgot the NBA is a gentlemen's game. They want us to battle and scrap, but they want us to do it nicely.

West finished the game with 16 points in the Mavericks loss in triple-overtime to the Jazz, 123-121. Hayward had 24 points, which combined with Al Jefferson's dominating double-double of 28 points and 26 points, was enough to put the Jazz over the top.

Right now we just got to win every game, no excuse, Jefferson said after the game. This is a big test for us. We just got to see where our heart is and I know everybody in the locker room wants to make the playoffs. So we are going to fight and we are going to fight 'til the end. That's all we can do.
