Superstar "X Factor" judge and former Disney “it” girl Demi Lovato recently announced plans to kick off her new tour "Neon Lights." The tour, named after her latest hit single, is set to debut in 2014. Due to her contract with Simon Cowell’s hit show, Lovato had to wait to tour the album until the show was on hiatus. Kicking off in Vancouver, British Colombia, on Feb. 9, "Neon Lights" is set to run through the end of March.

Lovato plans to join forces with "X Factor's" third-place champions from last season, Fifth Harmony, as well as the girl group Little Mix, formerly known at Rhytmix during their win on "X Factor U.K." Cher Lloyd, who is touring with Fifth Harmony, will be the fourth and final artist to round out the female-powered tour.

As excited as fans may be for the unexpected announcement, they have to hold out just a few more days for the tickets that go on sale Saturday. The tour will span parts of Canada and most of the U.S. With the tour being 27 dates, the entire itinerary can be viewed on Lovato’s website.

Lovato, in a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, said, “There is nothing better than woman empowerment and having an all-girls tour.” We’re sure many would agree as fans share their opinions of the announcement via Twitter.
