“Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Derek Hough has won the most Mirror Ball trophies on “DWTS” and now he has an Emmy. The 28-year-old Salt Lake City native literally jumped for joy in the press room after he got his gold statue, and his castmates from the ABC hit show took to Twitter to congratulate him for his Outstanding Choreography win.

According to Just Jared, Hough, who wore a Ted Baker London blazer to the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, won the award for three of the routines he choreographed for “Dancing with the Stars: All Stars.” Two of them were a mambo and a quickstep he performed with partner and Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson during season 15. The third was the “Walking on Air” for “Macy’s Stars of Dance” routine.

Hough was the only “DWTS” cast member up for the choreography award. Other nominees were from “So You Think You Can Dance”: Sonya Tayeh, Mandy Jo Moore, Napoleon Dumo, Travis Wall and also from “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel,” Warren Carlyle.
