Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose revealed yesterday he's been playing through a back injury making the Bulls' impressive play all the more remarkable.

According to NBC Sports' Pro Basketball Talk, in an interview with Comcast Sports Net, Rose said, My back is killing me right now. We've got time to rest, get treatment, and hopefully it will heal by the time we play Friday.

This news is quite remarkable given how well Rose has been playing this season, carrying the team to the third-best record in the Eastern Conference in the wake of injuries first to power forward Carlos Boozer and then to center Joakim Noah.

The Bulls next play Friday night in a home game against the Orlando Magic. The team would be wise to let Rose recuperate over the next three days, otherwise they run the risk of bringing his breakout season to a startling halt.
