The Detroit Tigers have agreed to a contract with first baseman Prince Fielder, CBS Sports reported.

The contract is for nine-years and $214 million. Fielder will join Miguel Cabrera in the heart of the Tiger's lineup, and provide the power that the Tigers lost with Victor Martinez, who tore his ACL, out for the season.

Fielder, 27, has played for the Brewers for the last 7 years. He hit 38 home runs and 120 RBI's last year with a .299 batting average.
