Grammy winner Israel Houghton addressed rumors that he cheated on estranged wife Meleasa Houston with Adrienne Bailon, co-host of “The Real,” who famously dated “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Rob Kardashian. After pictures of Houghton and Bailon on vacation in Tulum, Mexico, went viral, chatter claimed he cheated on his then-wife with the former “Cheetah Girl.” The singer simultaneously confirmed his relationship with Bailon and slammed rumors in a lengthy Facebook post Tuesday.

“I met Adrienne Bailon a bit over two years ago; we worked together and became friends,” he wrote, referencing the movie “I'm in Love with a Church Girl," which they both appeared in. “Our circles connected, and we remained good friends. From a friendship, as two single adults, we have very recently begun to explore a dating relationship.”

Back in February, Houghton released a statement on Facebook that said his marriage to Meleasa was over since he “failed and sinned in my marriage.” Many assumed that meant he cheated. He addressed that post Tuesday. “[When] I shared, or as some have pointed out, 'over-shared,' my failure in my marriage from over five years prior,” the singer said. “It seems to be simple math that I had not even yet met Adrienne during the time my marriage was falling apart.”

He then defended and praised Bailon. “It deeply saddens me that an innocent party would be dragged into this situation that I have taken personal responsibility for,” Houghton wrote. “Adrienne is a woman of integrity and character. Most of all she is a true friend, and she should not be blamed for my past indiscretions.”

Bailon has not responded to the gossip. TMZ praised the star for the curvy beach body she showed off during her vacation with Houghton. The pictures can be seen here.

Houghton and Meleasa were together for 20 years. She has not responded to the cheating rumors, either.
