Although the cheating confession video is believed to have been made by Iggy Azalea’s fiancé Nick Young's teammate at the Los Angeles Lakers, a report by Radar online said Friday that her rival Nicki Minaj’s team may have been behind leaking the footage. The secretly taped video of Young confessing to having cheated on the Australian rapper was posted Wednesday by D’Angelo Russell, leading to responses from Azalea, Young and Russell.

A writer from Fameolous, a gossip website that broke the story, said on a radio show, cited by Radar Online: “Somebody from Nicki Minaj’s camp, a source, got the video and they sent it in,” adding: “They said, ‘Here put this out because Iggy want to talk mess about Nicki Minaj, put this out and let her know what her fiancé is doing.’ That’s the real story behind this.”

In the video, Russell is reportedly heard asking Young: “You was 30, she was 19? What about Amber Rose, you ain't never tried?” to which Young replies: “No, she knows my girl.”

Russell reportedly posted the video first on SnapChat before Minaj’s team picked it up. The writer said: “They wanted to make Iggy basically shut up,” talking about Minaj’s camp.

The writer from Fameolous also said, according to Hollywood Life, that the leak could have been because Azalea “took a couple shots at Nicki…on Bravo TV,” by saying that Minaj was not the “only person who writes her raps.” The writer also said: “It had nothing to do with the basketball players,” adding that “it was just sitting there” until someone from Minaj’s team passed it on to Fameolous.

Meanwhile, a report by Hollywood Life said Friday that Young was planning to give Azalea a $4 million ring. A source told the gossip website: “Poor Nick. He’s scrambling like his coaches to design a play in the last few seconds of the game to save his engagement to Iggy,” adding: “He’s decided to come at her very romantically.”

The source continued: “One of their favorite movies to watch together is Love & Basketball,” adding: “Now that he has a few days off, he’s begging Iggy to come through and chill, have some drinks and have one of those cuddling movie nights. Nick’s hoping a simple romantic evening will smooth things over and get them to where they once were, happy and in love.”

The source also said: “If that doesn’t work, Nick’s prepared to take a play from Kobe’s handbook and put a new, massive rock of Iggy’s finger,” adding: “Nick remembers when Kobe was involved in that Colorado scandal and straight up bling blinged Vanessa out with that $4 million sparkler.”

Minaj had accused Azalea of not writing her own songs in 2014, when the feud between the two reached an all-time high. Earlier this month, Azalea appeared on a show with host Andy Cohen where she again referred to Minaj’s accusation, two years after the incident.

“I have just as many people on my writing credits as she has on her,” Azalea said, according to MTV, adding: “I know I write mine, and if she writes hers, I believe her, too.”

Meanwhile Azalea acknowledged the video on Twitter.
