Dina Lohan Reportedly $1.3 Million In Debt

The 50-year-old is in dire financial straits and at risk of losing to foreclosure her $1.1 million home in Merrick, N.Y., according to the New York Post. Dina Lohan reportedly has a $914,000 mortgage on the home, and owes another $302,000 because of a lien involving a former business associate. Some of her smaller debts include unpaid bills to her divorce attorney, landscaper, dentist, and a BMW dealership.

The news about Dina Lohan’s financial issues came to light after a now-infamous phone call Lindsay Lohan recently placed during a fight with her mother that was recorded and sent to TMZ. During the phone call, recorded by her father Michael Lohan, a frantic Lindsay Lohan pleads for help after getting into a physical scuffle with Dina Lohan, claiming her mother was trying to kidnap her.

According to the audio recording, mother and daughter were in a hired limousine, on their way home from a club, when they got into a fight over money. Lindsay Lohan also told her father that her mother had threatened to call the police on her. Police eventually were called to Dina Lohan’s home on Long Island, but no arrests were made.

Lindsay Lohan said she had given her mom $40,000 to prevent the foreclosure on her house, and she decided she wanted it back. “You’re crazy, I was like ‘Give me my money back, give me my 40 grand back that I just gave you,’” Lindsay Lohan can be heard telling Dina Lohan in the recording.

Lindsay also declared that Dina was on cocaine, and had broken a diamond bracelet of hers and cut her leg. "She's saying disgusting things to me ... I'm dead to her now,” she told her father. "I have a gash on my leg from what happened."

But, subsequently, Lindsay went straight to TMZ to refute the claims, saying that she had been lying and that her father had unscrupulously recorded and edited the call without her knowledge or consent.

"I told my dad a really hurtful and untruthful lie about my mom. She was not on cocaine," Lindsay told TMZ.

“She’s an amazing woman," Lindsay said of Dina. "I think everyone kind of knows my father’s main objective has always been to discredit my mom.”

Lindsay called her mother her “best friend” and said of her father: “I’m ashamed for him. And it’s hurtful to me that he has chosen this road to go down once again.”
