Walt Disney Co posted a disappointing 6 percent jump in quarterly revenue after the flop that was Mars Needs Moms capped a weak box office, sending its shares down more than 2 percent.

The company, which has beaten revenue projections in five of the past six quarters, reported revenue of $9.08 billion in its fiscal second quarter ended April 2. Wall Street had expected revenue of $9.12 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
