“Real Housewives of New York City” Season 8
Sonja Morgan (right) will be confronted about her alleged drinking problem in an episode of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City.” Bravo

The party may be coming to an end for one member of the “Real Housewives of New York City” cast. Since the season began on April 6, many have been questioning longtime housewife Sonja Morgan’s drinking habits, suggesting she may have a problem. Despite her vehement denial, the rest of the Bravo cast — namely close friend Ramona Singer — is concerned.

Ramona, 59 — who has been known to enjoy a glass or two of wine herself — will sit down with her gal pal to discuss her potential alcoholism on Wednesday’s episode of “RHONY.” Previews for the show suggest that the sit-down will begin as a discussion about a birthday party that Sonja, 52, was not invited to. Ramona will be frank with her co-star, telling her that her drinking was a contributing factor in her exclusion. Sonja will attempt to laugh off the claims, calling Ramona dramatic, but she refuses to relent.

“This is not about drama, Sonja,” she explains (via Us Weekly). “You’ve gotten worse than ever, and I need to tell you this.”

While Sonja’s drinking has been a major point of contention during the first few episodes of Season 8 of “RHONY,” it is far from the only drama. With cast members Kristen Taekman and Heather Thomson out, the network had to fill their shoes. In March it was announced that Julianne Wainstein would be joining the cast and she brought plenty of drama with her. The newbie has been featured in only a few episodes, but she’s already rubbing people the wrong way and stirring up eating disorder controversy.

“RHONY” airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo. Check out a preview for the episode below:
