The dollar extended losses against the yen on Thursday after data showed U.S. initial jobless claims unexpectedly rose last week while consumer prices fell.

The dollar fell to a session low of 91.13 yen JPY=, according to Reuters data, and was last at 91.17 yen, down 0.3 percent.
