Doughty Hanson & Co are planning to list Doughty Hanson & Co Investments LP Inc. as a vehicle on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange. They are also attempting to raise 1 billion euros in an initial public offering for a private equity fund.

80% of the money is to be invested in buyouts and real estate deals, whilst the remainder will go to smaller minority investments and mezzanine loans.

Doughty Hanson & Co became on Friday the latest private equity firm to say it planned to list a vehicle on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange, seeking to raise 1 billion euros (674 million pounds) to invest in its funds.

The fund's financial officer will be Fred Watt, the former Chief Finance Officer of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, whilst the management will be handled by Citygroup and Goldman Sachs.

The move by Doughty Hanson & Co comes after similar moves to float funds of investment vehicles such as KKT and Apollo which raised $7 billion this year.
