The Dow industrials opened higher on Friday as worries over debt-laden Greece eased and data showed the U.S. economy grew in the first quarter, although at a slightly slower-than-expected pace.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 17.61 points, or 0.16 percent, at 11,184.93. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 0.49 points, or 0.04 percent, at 1,206.29. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was down 0.69 points, or 0.03 percent, at 2,511.23.
