Drake and Michael Jordan’s shoe line is earning huge bucks, ahead of the launch of Kanye West’s Yeezy sneakers, TMZ reported Wednesday. The Canadian rapper and the basketball star released Air Jordan 10 Retro OVO sneakers Saturday in apparent competition to West’s Yeezy release on Feb. 19.

Jordan Geller, who owned the ShoeZeum in Las Vegas, told TMZ Sports that Jordan and Drake’s shoes were fetching more than four times their original price of $225. Geller told the website that Air Jordan 10 Retro OVO was selling for around $1,000 in less than a week of its release. According to Geller, the reason for the price jump was that Drake was the biggest non-athlete brand ambassador Nike has, TMZ reported. The report also speculated that the competition could trigger a Twitter rant between West and Drake.

West was involved in a feud with singer Taylor Swift after he dissed her in his new song “Famous.” The feud between Swift and West began after Kim Kardashian’s husband threw shade at the “Bad Blood” singer by claiming he made her famous.

Drake has been involved in public spat with Meek Mill recently. The beef between Drake and Mill started on July 21 after the "All Eyes on You" rapper took to Twitter, asking people to avoid comparing him with Drake because the latter didn't write his own rap songs. Drake responded with two diss songs, “Charged Up” and “Back to Back,” while Mill shot back with "Wanna Know."
