"Duck Dynasty" star Jules "Jep" Robertson recently revealed he was molested by an older female student on a school bus when he was 6. The 37-year-old A&E reality star discusses the incident in the latest book he co-wrote with wife Jessica: “The Good, the Bad and the Grace of God: What Honesty and Pain Taught Us About Faith, Family and Forgiveness.”

"I was 6 and it was on a school bus and it was an older girl," Robertson told "Entertainment Tonight" on Monday. "Back then the high school students would ride on the same bus as the grade school. There was this girl there that was just real mean ... I don't know, but it was a lot of things took place — scary stuff. It was tough."

Robertson said he did not tell anyone about the abuse for many years, not even his parents. He described his interaction with the older girl, saying that she seemed “sweet” and like “a motherly figure.”

"After a while the girl started doing strange things," he added. "She'd take my hands and push them up under her shirt and tell me I was tickling her. Then she started making me pull down my pants. It was awkward. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew something wasn't right."

Jep Robertson is Phil and Miss Kay Robertson’s youngest son. He is often seen on the show filming and editing videos. He and his wife have four children.

"I don't know if I necessarily consciously wanted to [keep it a secret]," he explained to "Entertainment Tonight." "I was more embarrassed. I think in the end I didn't want my mom and dad to think they did anything wrong, and they didn't. It was just one of those things that happened, and I think it took me a long time to realize what had happened and how it affected me."

Robertson also wrote that he was afraid of attending classes after the event. "I didn't want to go to school. I had a lot of absences," he wrote in the book, as reported by Fox News on Tuesday. "My mom always thought I was sick and there was definitely other reasons I didn't want to go to school. I think for a while I just tried to bury it so deep that I kind of forgot about it for a while." Robertson said meeting his wife Jessica and talking about what happened helped him begin to heal.

“The Good, the Bad and the Grace of God” will reach bookstores on June 23. “Duck Dynasty” will return to A&E on June 24 at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
