Apple CEO Steve Jobs is reported to be sealing a deal to launch the first authorized biography of his life.

The New York Times reports that Jobs is to collaborate with Walter Isaacson, a former editor of Time and ex-chairman and CEO of CNN, on an authorized biography.

Currently, neither Isaacson nor Jobs have confirmed the report, but the Times claims to have spoken to multiple individuals with inside knowledge of the project.

There have been previous books that wrote of his life story, namely iCon: Steve Jobs, the Greatest Second Act in the History of Business, by Jeffrey S. Young and William L. Simon, and The Second Coming of Steve Jobs, by Alan Deutschman.

However, this new bio will finally tell the story from Job's point of view.

Jobs is reportedly giving Isaacson a personal tour of his childhood home and sharing his thoughts and recollections with the prestigious journalist.

Isaacson is well known for his biographies Einstein: His Life and Universe and Benjamin Franklin: An American Life, as well as American Sketches: Great Leaders, Creative Thinkers, and Heroes of a Hurricane.
